About Christina Darby
After studying Integrated Marketing Communications, Writing, and Journalism at Wake Forest University, Christina moved to New York City in 2022 to work as an Associate Editor for technology publication, ZDNET. Christina then continued to work in consumer tech as Pocket-lint’s Managing Commerce Editor, and less than a year later, the Audio/ Visual Managing Editor.
As a first-time Managing Editor, she communicated, ideated, and managed 15+ writers in different time zones, and learned that she thrives most when in conversation and collaboration — even in chaos!
Despite not entering journalism as a seasoned techie, Christina engaged in conversation, research, and article data to quickly soak up as much as she could to make her section and writers some of the site’s most successful. And even when diving into data, Christina strives to always keep the human element of her writers and the audience at the forefront.
Christina’s love for managing and stories both on and off the page inspired her to pursue her Masters in Publishing at NYU. She is currently in her first semester and enjoying soaking up all the business’s elements (surprisingly, even finance). She continues working for Pocket-lint part-time as a weekend editor.
Ultimately, Christina is passionate about building. Whether that’s a story, relationships, or a project, she’s focused on creation that serves others.
When Christina isn’t working, she’s likely listening to or talking about Taylor Swift, binging Below Deck, or reading Kristin Hannah’s newest novel.
